doula services
$900
Doulas are trained professionals that offer support and education to families before, during and after childbirth, to help achieve the healthiest and most satisfying birthing experience. Jenny's doula service includes two or three prenatal consultations, a four week on-call window, continuous support from the onset of labor through delivery and the initiation of breastfeeding, and postpartum support into the early weeks of parenthood.
Jenny offers a free consultation to meet and discuss the individualized services available.
Certified lactation counseling and childbirth education included in doula services.
childbirth education
Private Classes:
$90 / session
One-on-one childbirth classes to educate on labor and delivery, and help build confidence in your body's ability to give birth. These classes are tailor to meet your individual needs as an expecting family. Material is typically covered in 2-4 sessions.
Group Classes:
$200/ Series
Group childbirth education classes are designed to prepare you for the childbearing and postpartum years. Learning in a group can be a dynamic and nourishing experience as well as an opportunity to meet others who are also on the parenthood journey. Classes are designed for both birthing person and support partner(s).
certified lactation counseling
$100 / initial session- includes one postpartum follow-up
Follow up: $40/studio $50/home
One-on-one breastfeeding education and counseling from pregnancy through weaning.
Remote offerings available via Zoom. Rates may vary.
Full Moon Doulas
Full Moon Doulas is a cooperative of birth doulas in the UP and northern Wisconsin. We are all certified or on the certification path through DONA International or Childbirth International. Our mission is to support the physical, emotional and spiritual health of mothers, babies and families, through education and lovingkindness during pregnancy, childbirth and the newborn days. Each doula takes on her own individual clients and rates and services vary, but we work together to support one another and the birthing community. We uphold a strong code of ethics and adhere to a strict standard of practice. upmilc
The Upper Peninsula of Michigan Lactation Coalition (UPMILC) formed in 2013 to protect, support and promote breastfeeding in our local communities. UPMILC's mission is to build and link our resources so that every family has the motivation, knowledge, tools and resources to successfully breastfeed. UPMILC is comprised of several women who all have a passion for breastfeeding and continue to work hard to help our community learn and enjoy the benefits of breastfeeding. Our vision is to work until breastfeeding is accepted as the cultural norm and promoted throughout the Upper Peninsula of Michigan as the ideal method of feeding infants and young children.
