Pilates

Many people go through the day without any awareness of their body until it signals distress. This became an area of concern and passion for Molly in her work as a massage therapist and only continued to grow with pursuing the teachings of pilates. The balance and connection between mind, body, and spirit through pilates has a way of weaving it’s way into daily life with practice. A significant focus on the ‘Powerhouse’ makes basic mat a great form of exercise for anyone struggling with a weak core or pelvic floor. Molly is a certified Peak Pilates Basic Mat Instructor and is continuing her education to bring more advanced levels of pilates in all it’s forms.

Barre

Barre is low impact and combines the principles of Ballet and Pilates to give you an entire body workout. It works every muscle, giving you strength and definition, and a stronger mind-body connection. It will improve your posture, flexibility, and endurance at the same time working you towards a longer, leaner body. Barre is suited for all fitness levels, from beginners to advanced. There are several modifications and levels to each move so you can work at your own personal level

Pilates class descriptions

Beginners Mat Foundational movements of pilates along with added stretching is the focus of this class. A slower pace through the mat series with guidance on the initiation and activation of movements to help you gain key components of classical pilates. A great class for any level, but suited for those who desire a gentler version of basic mat with complimented stretching.

Level 1 Taking you through the entire basic mat sequence with added progressions and set focuses. This class is meant to challenge your pilates knowledge and form. Any level is welcome, although some experience would be preferred or having taken the 6 week foundations course.

6 Week Foundations Course A great beginners or review class to the introduction of the basic mat series. A guided and set series to give you the key components of each mat movement with building blocks and progressions. Each movement is broken down to the bare bones to offer you complete control and understanding of the initiation, activation, and key anchors. This class has limited space to provide more guidance and attention from the instructor. Registration is required ahead of time.
